Oakland Zoo Expansion/ California Trail
Oakland, CaCalifornia Trail, the 20 acre exhibit underway at the Oakland Zoo will feature live native animal and plant exhibits including grizzly bears, California condors, bald eagles, jaguars, mountain lions, gray wolf and bison. A gondola carries zoo patrons from the Main Zoo up the ridge to the Visitor Center and restaurant featuring stunning San Francisco Bay views. A California Interpretive Center will highlight the delicate balance between plants, animals, and humans – and the impact of change on all three. Currently the gondola and The Landing Café are open. The animal exhibits and the rest of California Trail will open summer 2018.
