Towers @ Great America
Santa Clara, CaliforniaThe Towers @ Great America (TAGA) is an established Class A office property with two, multi-tenant office towers next to California’s Great America theme park and Levi’s Stadium in Santa, Clara, Ca.
Engineers and craftsmen at Cambridge Architectural worked to create a draped mesh canopy that provides a fun element to the outdoor dining area. The mesh casts soft shadows to assist in minimizing intense sunlight and glare. Its segmented draping creates a rhythm along the overall canopy profile that coincides with the structural articulation and curtainwall spacing found in adjacent building elements. Seventy woven stainless steel panels — a total of 2,258 square feet — were specified for the project using Cambridge’s Mid Shade pattern (42 percent open area). The mesh was attached to the awning structure using a custom Channel attachment system. Made of recyclable materials, the mesh awning is virtually maintenance free and supports overall sustainability goals for the property.
